David Valero renews with BH Coloma Team until 2026 and confirms that he will continue competing in XCO
The future of the best Spanish XCO cyclist of the last decade has just been revealed. After some rumors pointing to a possible retirement, David Valero has just announced that he will continue with the BH Coloma Team until at least 2026 and will continue competing in the XCO World Cup.

Bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, silver medal at the 2021 XCO World Championships, winner of the Snowshoe World Cup, bronze medal at the recent XCM World Championships, or his 9 victories in the Spanish Championship are just some of the achievements that make up David Valero's resume.
But the best Spanish XCO cyclist of the last decade has just finished an Olympic cycle at 35 years old, and his future was uncertain for the upcoming seasons. Especially after hearing him in some recent statements where he stated he would be interested in trying longer races, for which he has shown excellent qualities, like the recent silver medal at the European XCM or bronze at the World Championships.

But this morning, accompanied by Carlos Coloma and surrounded by some of his most important medals, Valero reviewed his career and announced that his relationship with the BH Coloma Team will continue for at least 2 more years, until 2026, and he will continue to be the team leader in the XCO World Cup.
"Today is a very important day for me, I have reached an agreement with Carlos and we will continue until 2026 with the BH Coloma Team. I am very happy to continue being part of the project and pushing forward with them," explained Valero.

Coloma pointed out that for the next season Valero will focus on the World Cup after a 2024 that was conditioned by the preparation for the Olympics. And he referred to the new reform of the UCI World Cup, where, in addition to passing on his experience to younger cyclists, it will now be more relevant than ever to have cyclists on the team with such an important UCI points history as Valero's to be among the 15 UCI teams that will be able to compete in the World Cup.
In addition to his continuity in the team and in the discipline, Valero has hinted at new additions to the team, so there will soon be news about new names in the team.
