The Shimano Super Cup Massi arrived in Santa Susanna a day after intense rains in the coastal town, along with bright sunshine that welcomed the competitors, making the track very fast and fun in some sections.
Spanish rider David Valero of BH Coloma Team and German rider David List (Decathlon Ford Racing) quickly stood out from the peloton and managed to open a small gap with the rest of the competitors.

The co-leadership was consolidated and both riders gradually increased their lead. But Jofre Cullell managed to catch up with them and form a luxury front group. Behind them, a high-level group tried to close the gap and catch them; Gerardo Ulloa, Thomas Griot, Joshua Dubau, or Antoine Philippe were some of them, while Bjorn Riley and Samuel Gaze were forced to abandon.
The course of the race and the high pace set by Valero eventually dropped David List and left the two BH Coloma Team riders at the front of the race.
Valero and Cullell remained neck and neck until the last section of the competition when Valero pulled away alone in first place, while List passed Cullell. Nothing changed until the finish line, which welcomed Valero with great fanfare to confirm his victory in the Shimano Super Cup Massi Santa Susanna 2025.
Samara Maxwell wins a race she dominated from start to finish
The women's category also featured a grid with some great international figures, such as Line Burquier, Marta Cano, Tatiana Saitarova, Greta Seiwald, Simona Spesna, or Samara Maxwell herself. The clean start occurred with the last-minute withdrawal of Olivia Onesti, who could not take part in the competition. The pace was high from the beginning and the group stretched out early on.
Samara Maxwell opened up a gap without much effort and soon found herself leading alone with many meters of advantage over her rivals, who fell into no man's land. The race remained stable throughout the competition and, without unexpected surprises, Maxwell rode to the finish line to win the fourth race of the Shimano Super Cup Massi 2025 season.
