The Dangerholm's SCOTT Spark RC Hypersonic weighs in at 9.19kg
The creations of Gustav Gullholm, also known as Dangerholm, always surprise and his new SCOTT Spark RC Hypersonic does it again. Based on a SCOTT Spark 2022, the frame has been customized to make it lighter and a very unconventional assembly has been chosen.
The new SCOTT Spark RC Hypersonic by Dangerholm
As is usual in Dangerholm's assemblies, the frame of the new Spark 2022 has been sanded to shave off grams and has been customized according to the chrome tone of the rest of the components.
The assembly, as always, is anything but conventional, but in addition, this time we find some prototype that will soon see the light in the market, like the Garbaruk crankset of only 384 g.
For the fork, another model very little known to the general public has been chosen, an Intend Samurai XC with 120mm of travel. Its weight is only 1435.5g and integrates a standard 3-position RockShox Charger RaceDay cartridge compatible with the SCOTT Twinloc control, which has also been chromed for the occasion.
RECOMENDADO
In the rear we find a Rotor 12v 11-46T cassette driven by a mechanical Sram XX1 Eagle derailleur that has been improved with Hopp carbon parts and an oversized Kogel Kolossos cage that has been customized in aluminum color with Cerakote Champagne Pink pulleys.
The result is a dual suspension MTB with 120 mm travel and telescopic seat post of only 9.19 kg. He himself states that it is not the lightest mountain bike in its sector, but that was not his goal
"My goal in this project was: fast and agile on the climbs, fast and fun on the descents. In short, the best of both worlds".
