Continental launches its fastest gravel tire, this is the Terra Competition
Continental expands its Terra family with the new Terra Competition, a tire designed with a clear focus on performance and faster gravel. The German brand aims to minimize the distance between road and gravel when the terrain allows, positioning it as a clearly all-road option for those who alternate between asphalt and compact tracks on the same ride.
Continental erases the boundary between road and gravel with Terra Competition
The Terra Competition is designed for cyclists who prioritize efficiency when the pace is high and the terrain changes constantly. It is not an aggressive gravel tire focused on mud or loose terrain, but rather a proposal for riding very fast on tracks, light gravel, and road sections, where rolling resistance and aerodynamics play a decisive role.

Within the Terra range, this model is positioned as the lightest and offers the lowest rolling resistance. Continental has specifically worked on optimizing drag, including tests in wind tunnels, with the goal of improving efficiency at high speeds and favoring a more direct response in accelerations. The focus is clear: maintain speed on straights and reduce energy costs when riding hard on mixed surfaces.

Specialized Turbo Levo R: the new full power "Rally" is now official
Compared to the brand's previously fastest gravel tire, the Terra Speed, Continental claims that the new Terra Competition is up to 16% lighter and can roll up to 17% faster, figures that vary depending on the size and pressure used.

The new tire will be available in widths of 35 and 45 mm, two sizes that allow for setups closer to the road plus concept as well as configurations more typical of modern gravel. Additionally, it will be offered in two versions differentiated by the character sought by the cyclist, one focused on maximum speed and the other designed to maintain performance when the terrain becomes a bit more demanding.
The model is already available with Race or Trail casing and its price starts from €68.95 in the European market.
