The Canyon Northwave team becomes the Canyon SIDI MTB Team

This is one of the most important teams in international XCM and has just announced a name change and its roster for 2024. The hitherto CANYON NORTHWAVE MTB now has SIDI as a new co-sponsor and from now on will be called CANYON SIDI MTB TEAM.

Now with SIDI we enter the 2024 season with new colors, in a proven lineup and with great ambitions to mark a great and successful year", said Kristian Hynek, owner and team manager, after the announcement of the name change.

As for the roster, the CANYON SIDI MTB will continue to count on Andreas Seewald, 2021 world champion, Martin Stošek, 2023 world runner-up, Marc Stutzman, the current Swiss champion and Stefanie Dohrn Walter.

The team will start its season in Spain, first with the Mediterranean Epic, followed by the Andalusia Bike Race. The big spring goal will be the Cape Epic, in South Africa, and for that race the team will be reinforced again with Petr Vako?, former World Tour rider and current Canyon gravel rider.

The highlight of the season for the Canyon SIDI MTB will be the XCM World Championship in September in the USA, where Seewald, Stošek, Stutzman and Dohrn Walter will again fight for the rainbow. Other important events they will compete in will be the European Championship in Gdynia in June, the various national championships and the XCM World Cup dates.
