Local pair Marco Joubert - Tristan Nortje win the Tankwa Trek 2025
The men's race was marked by the withdrawal of the Orbea Leatt Speed Company, one of the favorite pairs who had to say goodbye due to illness of Georg Egger. In this scenario, the local duo Joubert-Nortje was the surprise of the race, showcasing impeccable performance and race control.
Throughout the four days of competition in the demanding terrain of Koue Bokkeveld, they demonstrated an offensive strategy that allowed them to stay ahead at key moments, and in the final stage they crossed the finish line in second place, which was enough to secure the overall victory with a lead of 10 minutes and 36 seconds over Singer KTM Racing.
