Caloi Elite FS 2024 prototype in homage to Henrique Avancini

Far from hiding or camouflaging it, the Brazilian manufacturer Caloi has just presented a prototype of its Elite FS 2024 model and has done so in style with a unique edition in tribute to the current XCM world champion Henrique Avancini. The brand explains that it is their way of thanking him for all he has done for Brazilian mountain biking.

The manufacturer Caloi has returned to the top of the world mountain bike scene in 2023 with Henrique Avancini and his Caloi Henrique Avancini Racing team, so much so that his Elite FS model is the one with which the Brazilian star won the last XCM World Championship in Glasgow.

Now, after Avancini announced that it will no longer be competing in 2024, Caloi has unveiled a new version of its flagship XC and XCM model. The Elite FS 2024 looks completely new and its frame seems to have undergone a complete upgrade.

 

 

The only technical information we have is what can be seen in the pictures, but important changes can be seen. The frame tubes have been oversized and the bike gains in robustness. The rear shock system has been completely redesigned with new mountings and a more sophisticated linkage. The new internal cable routing offers a cleaner aesthetic and in terms of geometry it seems that the steering angle has been thrown further and could have increased the reach.

 

The new Caloi Elite FS 2024 prototype we already saw them compete on the Mont Saint Anne circuit, Canada, in what was the last XCO World Cup for Henrique Avancini. But now the brand wanted to present it with a very special aesthetic that recalls the colours that Avancini wore in 2012 when he was sponsored by Caloi for the first time.

This is the prototype of the new Caloi Elite FS 2024 with the paintwork of the first bike he used when he was a Caloi sponsored athlete in 2012. In addition to the traditional colours of the first Caloi Elite, the bike has elements that recall memorable moments of Avancini's history on and off the track."
