Caleb Ewan signs with INEOS Grenadiers
When many thought he was retired at just 30 years old, after two very poor seasons, the Pocket Rocket gets an extra life with his surprising signing, at a time when all rosters are already closed, with the season already started, joining the ranks of INEOS Grenadiers with a contract that extends only to this 2025 season.
INEOS gives Caleb Ewan a second chance
Despite the 63 victories that adorn his record, these last two seasons, in which he has barely been able to achieve 4 wins, all of them in minor races, have plummeted Caleb Ewan's cachet, to the point where many even considered him retired after finishing his contract with Jayco-AlUla and finding himself without a team.
Fortunately for him, INEOS Grenadiers has come to his rescue and surprisingly, with the season already underway, has announced the signing of the fast Australian rider with a contract only for this season in which he will have to take advantage of this unexpected opportunity if he wants to remain a professional for longer. A signing that also comes as a bit of a surprise for an INEOS Grenadiers team, which we usually associate with a different type of riders and not a pure sprinter like Caleb Ewan.

The Pocket Rocket is clear "In 2025, my goal is to win big races again. It has been a few years since I won some of those important races, but I firmly believe I have it in me. I am still only 30 years old and, with the right guidance and the experience that INEOS brings, I believe I can regain my best form here.".
For his part, Scott Drawer, performance director of INEOS Grenadiers highlighted "Caleb's record, his talent, and his ability to win big races speak for themselves. In our conversations with him, we clearly understand where he is currently and what his ambitions are. We know we have work to do together to achieve it" while also emphasizing what we have already guessed about the structural and focus changes that the British team has been making.
Caleb Ewan still does not have a race schedule and will initially concentrate with the team, presumably at their base camp in Mallorca, seeking for the cyclist to adapt as soon as possible to the way INEOS Grenadiers works.
