BMC Twostroke: Swiss precision on an affordable MTB
The newest model from BMC is the BMC Twostroke: good, pretty and cheap. A rigid that combines the most complicated when it comes to creating a mountain bike, which is to make a product of high quality, attractive and also that don´t ruin you to ride it. We analyze it in more detail.
BMC Twostroke: a good, nice and cheap MTB
Yes, surely many readers agree on the good and beautiful, but they have their doubts on the cheap. But it is that a mountain bike of these characteristics for a top price of € 3999 is not crazy idea as far as pay is concerned.

The best thing is that by focusing on the cheap, we take the good and beautiful for granted. And it´s that it´s: its design is very careful, its thick diagonal tube contrasts with a lower chainstays that are similar in terms of its flattened thermoforming, but especially with angled upper chainstays that are aesthetically embedded in the frame Cubist.
This concept, copied from the “Tuned Compliance Concept” of their road bikes, makes the adjustment of all the carbon layers improve the flex and torsion of the mountain bike on its vertical axis, something with slight similarities to the Cannondale FlexPivot in the sense that the flattened upper sheaths absorb part of the irregularities of the terrain.
And the good thing, because also, because the BMC Twostroke is a new XCO that mounts SRAM X01 Eagle transmission, RockShox Sid Select fork with 100mm of travel and DT Swiss XR 1700 wheels, all in a carbon frame with a radical geometry: a 67? steering angle, a forward front of the bike and a 75? saddle angle. In this way, the aggressiveness on the ground makes it a leading mountain bike.
All the details, price, range and availability of the BMC Twostroke
Everything said so far already denotes that the BMC Twostroke has been worked very well. And also its commercial branch, its range: if its top of the range, the BMC Twostroke 01 ONE costs €3,999 with everything indicated above, this high range is completed by the Twostroke 01 TWO for €2,999 and the BMC Twostroke 01 THREE for €2,499 €.
The differences are in the details in this carbon range, because the frame is the same, and that is a sign of good quality. Number two drops to RockShox Reba and SRAM GX Eagle, but retains much of the rest of the spec. The number three goes down another step to RockShox Recon Silver RL, and here the development is complete, up to 12 11-50 crowns on SRAM NX Eagle, SRAM GX Eagle derailleur and Shimano Deore brakes, also Shimano hubs and not DT Swiss. But as we say, the differences are subtle, and so is the price.
In the aluminum range, which they have named as BMC Twostroke AL, there are only two models: the BMC Twostroke AL ONE for €1599 mounting SRAM NX Eagle and 12 crowns; and the BMC Twostroke AL TWO for €1199 riding Shimano Deore also with 12 crowns and going down on RockShox to the Judy TK Remote.
The weights are 1 kilo and 37 grams for the carbon frame, and 1 kilo and 850 grams for the aluminum frame.
At the moment, its launch is official and it can already be reserved or ordered from the official BMC distributors.
