BH Ultimate: taking a closer look at David Valero's bike

The season continues to progress and this weekend all eyes are on the Shimano Supercup Massi de Banyoles. The event is a benchmark in XCO and the impressive lineup of participants is a good example of this. David Valero, one of the top national and international references, leads the BH Coloma Team and will seek to maintain sensations and results in what will be his third race of the year.

This time, Valero has set aside the Lynx and has opted for the Ultimate as his best weapon against the Banyoles circuit. Below, we show in detail the bike with which the Granada rider will compete at the Cathedral.

The absence of a shock absorber allows the BH Ultimate to display a clean and streamlined design; furthermore, it leaves all the suspension weight in the hands of the 100 mm travel of the Fox 34 SC fork. The BH Ultimate carbon frame is the skeleton of a rigid bike that mounts a 720 mm wide integrated Gemini Pröpus handlebar.

Shimano XTR components appear on the pedals, brakes, and drivetrain. Valero uses a wild 38-tooth chainring and a 10-45 12-speed cassette.

As for the wheels, Valero relies on Duke Lucky Jack Sls 4 with the front wheel -30 mm- slightly wider than the rear -28 mm-. All of this is supported by Chaoyang Phantom Speed Sps tires with a width of 2.30".

For the saddle, he has a Prologo Nago R4, which fits on an 80 mm Bikeyoke Divine SL seatpost.

Finally, David Valero's BH Ultimate handlebar features Prologo Mastery grips.
