12 races, including Benidorm, will make up the 2025-26 Cyclocross World Cup calendar
The UCI repeats the World Cup format released this year, with a calendar concentrated between December and January and leaving definitively forgotten the American races that some years ago started the calendar.
A calendar of the 2025-26 Cyclocross World Cup that maintains broadly, only some changes, the venues that have been usual in recent years, including Benidorm, a race that has become a success of public, no less than 16,000 people, in the three editions disputed.

"Three years ago, people thought we were crazy to organize a cyclocross in Benidorm. Now we have shown the world that Benidorm, the Costa Blanca and the Valencian Community are the best possible place to hold a World Cup of this cycling modality so booming" said Pascual Momparler, head of the Alicante event.
The Cyclo-cross World Cup 2025-26 will start on November 23 with the return of a mythical race such as Tabor, in the Czech Republic, which will be followed by another novelty in the calendar with the race to be held in Flamaville, France. From there, the competition will head to Sardinia to compete in the Cabras race, which this year had to be suspended due to inclement weather.

Superprestige, the essence of cyclocross
Although the World Cup continues to attract most of the headlines, the Superprestige remains the second most important competition, a tremendously difficult championship to win due to the regularity demanded of the cyclist by the tight classification system in which the first gets 15 points, the second 14 and so on until the fifteenth place, which prevents the differences from skyrocketing as happens with other systems that give much more priority to victory in each race.

A championship that keeps the purest essence of the mud discipline with a completely Belgian calendar of 8 races from October 19 when the competition started until February 7, 2026 with races as mythical as Overijse or the always spectacular Diegem night race in which, even through television, you can perceive the tremendous atmosphere that surrounds this race.
X2O Trophy, when every second counts
Gaining importance every year and seeking to dispute the coveted television audiences in Belgium, a country where at this time the saturation of cyclocross in the media reaches levels similar to those of other countries with soccer where league and European competitions follow each other without any break, the X2O seeks to differentiate itself from other championships through its peculiar proposal of a general classification by times that generates a totally different approach to the races for cyclists who intend to depute the general classification.

A championship also entirely Belgian and that, as with the Superprestigio consists of 8 races that are distributed evenly throughout the mud campaign. A calendar that includes tremendously emblematic events such as the Koppenbergcros or the prestigious Sven Nys trophy, the race that every year welcomes the new year on January 1, a tradition for the Belgians on a day even more festive than cyclocross races usually are in that country.
Exact Cross
Despite being in the background with respect to the aforementioned circuits, perhaps because of its strange distribution in the calendar in which its 7 races are quite separated: 3 races in October, one in the middle of December, another on January 2 and the last two in February, which perhaps makes it difficult for the public to keep their attention on them and for the cyclists to plan their campaign for the dispute of the general.
With a participation usually of a lower level than the other circuits, the Exact Cross allows us to enjoy another type of scenarios that, in many occasions, become tremendously fought races and a spectacle only for the very coffee drinkers.
European and World Championships, big days
Both the European Championships and the World Championships are always special events for cyclo-cross specialists. Races in which the victory brings an important prestige as well as allowing the winner to wear the recognizable champion's jersey of the event.

As usual, the European Championships, which will be held in the Belgian town of Middelkerke, usually takes place at the beginning of the cyclo-cross season, while the World Championships, which will be held this season on February 1, practically marks the end of the campaign, even though there are still some interesting events after it, which, however, from that moment on, only attract the attention of the fans of the mud discipline.
