Adolf Silva releases his first video after his accident at the Red Bull Rampage
Eleven days have passed since the brutal fall suffered by Adolf Silva during the final of the Red Bull Rampage 2025, and the Catalan rider wanted to address his followers for the first time explaining his accident, his condition, and the long road ahead. “I tried to do a double backflip on my last jump, but I didn't rotate enough and broke my back,” he began explaining
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Silva confirms that he fractured several vertebrae in addition to breaking his sternum and six ribs: “I fractured the T2 and T3 vertebrae and suffered a dislocation up to T6. I also broke my sternum and six ribs, which is why I have difficulty speaking and breathing normally.” After the accident, he underwent a five-hour surgery to stabilize the vertebrae, but he still has no sensation from the chest down.

“It's not just about being in a wheelchair, there is much more behind that completely changes your life.” Despite the severity of the diagnosis, Silva remains optimistic and with his usual positive energy. “I want to inspire and help other people who are in situations like this, and show what it really means to live with a spinal cord injury. It's much more than one imagines until they experience it” he states, making it clear that his spirit remains intact. Additionally, he has announced that this will be the first of a series of weekly videos in which he will show his progress and the different phases of his rehabilitation.
A long and costly recovery
The official statement released days ago under the title “Adolf Silva - The Fight for the Road Ahead” already hinted at the magnitude of the challenge facing the rider. The Road 2 Recovery foundation is running a donation campaign to cover the costs of his treatment, transportation, rehabilitation, and adaptation of his environment to facilitate an independent life.

All money raised is fully allocated to his medical care and the necessary adaptations for his new reality. Those who wish to support Adolf can do so through the official link: road2recovery.com/athlete-causes/adolf-silva/.
Silva, known for his fearless character and influence in the freeride scene, now faces this challenge with the same determination that made him one of the most admired riders in the world.
