The Banyoles event is one of the most globally recognized races for its high level of competitiveness over the years. The best XCO cyclists in history have passed through here, and in 2025, the race will reach a new milestone by being the first event of the new UCI Continental Series, the XCO European Cup, organized by the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the European Cycling Union (UEC).

Banyoles is the only venue in Spain where you can obtain one of the "Golden Tickets" to participate in the UCI XCO World Cup, and with this prestigious recognition, it becomes part of an exclusive group with only 5 European races.

For this edition, a record participation of over 1,000 cyclists from 35 countries has been confirmed, and the race will take place on the traditional circuit highly valued by professionals and fans. The elite women's race will start at 10:40 on Sunday, February 23, and its starting grid will be comparable to any World Cup event.
