Fenix-Deceuninck secures young star Puck Pieterse with the longest contract signed in the women's WorldTour
Dutch rider Puck Pieterse, at 21 years old, is one of the most successful and headline-grabbing multidisciplinary cyclists in recent years. Her current team, Fenix-Deceuninck, wanted no surprises and has just announced that both parties have reached an agreement to extend her contract until 2027. This is the longest known contract in the women's WorldTour so far.

After winning several races in the CX World Cup, making her debut in the Elite XCO category also with a victory, in Nove Mesto, and being one of the names to keep in mind on the road (she finished sixth in Strade Bianche after a great race), it is not unusual that Puck Pieterse is one of the most desired riders by any team, something that her current team has decided to deal with with a long-term contract until 2027, the longest currently in the women's WorldTour.

"It's a logical decision," the cyclist said after learning of the agreement. "The good thing about this team and this structure is that I can combine the different disciplines and I have the freedom to decide myself when to do which discipline."
"In addition, with this team I can count on an excellent environment in terms of training and coaching. I am convinced that here I will be able to continue to develop under the best conditions for years to come."
We remind you that although they are the same team, Pieterse competes in mountain bike and CX with the Alpecin-Deceuninck (the men's team for road, MTB and CX) while in road she races with the Fenix-Deceuninck (the women's WorldTour team).
Puck Pieterse will focus entirely on mountain biking this summer with the goal of competing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in this discipline.
