All the details about the new Mondraker Factory Racing XC
The manufacturer Mondraker announced at the beginning of the year the creation of its own competition structure for XCO. And although we already had some information about the new Mondraker Factory Racing XC, now the brand gives us all the details about this new project that joins the successful Mondraker downhill team.
The new Mondraker Factory Racing XC is ready for anything
From its beginnings, Mondraker has shown that technological innovation and competition go hand in hand. While its dominance has been more noticeable in downhill, with multiple titles and revolutionary advances, cross country has been gaining more prominence within the brand with its support for the Primaflor-Mondraker Racing Team, which disappeared in 2024. The first major XCO milestone for Mondraker came in 2022 with the historic podium of Bec Henderson at the Brazil World Cup.
Since 2017, Mondraker has been present in elite XCO, developing and perfecting its F-Podium model, which will now be the mount of its new Factory team. With this new structure, directly managed by the Alicante-based brand, it seeks to take its presence in XC to the next level and establish itself as a reference in the discipline.

The new Mondraker Factory Racing XC is led by Sergio Mantecón. A reference in XCO and XCM who retired from professional competition in 2024 to dedicate himself 100% to this new project. In his more than 20-year career, he has three podiums in the World Cup, eight Spanish Champion titles, and a participation in the 2012 London Olympics. And this is how he showed his enthusiasm for the start of the new team:
“It is an honor to be part of the Mondraker family and to lead a team with so much potential. Competition is in our DNA, and we want to make Mondraker Factory Racing XC a reference internationally. We have assembled an incredible human and sports team, with the talent and resources necessary to fight for the best results.”
A Top team that has already debuted with a victory
The Mondraker Factory Racing XC debuts this year with a luxury lineup, and there is no better example of the successful selection than the first victory that the team has achieved in its first race.

In their assembly, the MFR XC cyclists will have a customized configuration with components from the team's official sponsors, including SRAM, RockShox, Mavic, Maxxis, and ONOFF.
