Van Aert announces his Cyclocross calendar for 2024-25: confirms Benidorm and no World Championship, for the moment
Later and with fewer races than usual, but finally Visma Lease a Bike announced Wout Van Aert's Cyclocross calendar for the 2024-25 season.
Wout Van Aert's CX Calendar for 2024-25: 6 races and World Championship unconfirmed
"Cyclocross remains my first love, so I enjoy returning to it every winter." "This winter, we have opted for a compact calendar of six races that fit well with my training plan. It will be a cyclocross season that I will do out of pure love for this sport, but with modest ambitions. After my accident in the Vuelta and my knee injury, it is essential to make the most of the time I have to prepare for the road season. Some cyclocross races fit well into that plan, but the calendar is deliberately more limited than in previous years," explained Van Aert himself to present his new season.

Van Aert's CX Calendar 2024-25
- December 23 - Superprestige de Mol-Zilvermeer - Mol (Belgium)
- December 27 - Exact Cross Azencross - Loenhout (Belgium)
- January 4 - Superprestige de Gullegem - Gullegem (Belgium)
- January 5 - CX World Cup Dendermonde - Dendermonde (Belgium)
- January 19 - CX World Cup Benidorm - Benidorm (Spain)
- January 25 - CX World Cup Maasmechelen - Maasmechelen (Belgium)

Van Aert anticipates that he will not be in his best form in Mol: "That will be the first goal to work towards, but I certainly won't reach my highest level there."
And after competing in Loenhout, Gullegem, and Dendermonde, he will head to a training camp with the team before facing the last two World Cup races: "After that camp, there are two big races on the calendar in Benidorm and Maasmechelen, where I hope to be in better condition. I am incredibly excited to return to the field and hope to reconnect with the fans."
The World Championship, which will take place on February 2 in Lievin, France, is not on the Belgian's agenda but it would not be surprising if he decided to compete if he ultimately has a chance to win the rainbow jersey.
