Five Ten Kestrel BOA: Adidas unveils its first downcountry shoes
Adidas has presented its new MTB shoes, named Five Ten Kestrel BOA. The German brand brings to the market a design focused on performance that stands out for using reused materials in its manufacture and the use of STEALTH rubber. The shoes are available in three colors and are priced at 230 euros.
The Five Ten Kestrel BOA, a Downcountry shoe with XC performance
Adidas expands the Five Ten family and its range of MTB shoes with the launch of the Five Ten Kestrel BOA. The company thus brings out its first purely performance-focused model that, while capable of meeting the demands of modern XC, defines them as Downcountry shoes.
The Five Ten Krestel BOA is driven by the same philosophy pursued by many shoe manufacturers: the difficult challenge of finding a balance between performance and comfort without sacrificing either.

Downcountry and XC shoes with lots of details
The toe cap is reinforced in order to make it more resistant to impacts. The upper is one of the most interesting, as it is breathable, synthetic with seamless overlays and abrasion resistant. In addition, Adidas has placed a STEALTH rubber patch on the upper to provide a better grip.
The same STEALTH concept is present in the outsole, which also features an embossed "anti-slip" toe and heel for more traction when you have to put your foot down and walk.
The Five Ten Kestrel BOA has a BOA Li2 closure system that helps to achieve the desired fit more easily. On the other hand, the brand highlights the lightness of the model, although it does not provide weight data.
An interesting fact is that they are partially made of reused materials, as well as the upper part is partly made of non-virgin polyesters.
The Five Ten Kestrel BOA are available in two colorways - black with red and black/orange accents - and a women's version. Adidas offers them in sixteen sizes between 38-49, while the price is 230 euros.
