A simple and brilliant solution to improve SRAM AXS MTB derailleurs
The German brand BikeYoke has launched the new Shifty V2, a small but clever improvement designed for one of the components that suffers the most wear in SRAM MTB electronic derailleurs: the cable guiding pulley. Made from machined aluminum and featuring a sealed bearing, it promises to smooth out shifting and increase durability even in muddy or dusty conditions.
A smart update for SRAM AXS MTB groups
Since SRAM introduced its Eagle 70 and 90 groups—the first models of its new generation of mechanical drivetrains—many users detected the same weak point that existed in previous generations. The small plastic pulley that the shift cable slides over suffers from premature wear. A component subjected to constant friction and exposed to dirt, which over time can seize up or cause imprecise shifting.
BikeYoke had already found the solution in 2017 with the first version of the Shifty, and now it returns with the Shifty V2, redesigned to fit both the new SRAM Eagle 70 and 90 as well as the previous 1x11 and 1x12 models.

The new version replaces the original plastic pulley with a precisely machined 6061-T6 aluminum piece, mounted on a sealed stainless steel bearing. The result is an immediate improvement in smoothness, precision, and wear resistance.
The Shifty V2 comes with the necessary axles, screws, and spacers to fit a wide range of derailleurs, from the XX1 and X01 Eagle to the more popular GX or NX (for the latter, it is necessary to remove the original rivet, for which BikeYoke includes its own axle and screw).

Weighing just 5 grams, the new pulley adds only three grams compared to the original, but in return offers a notable improvement in durability and shifting feel. BikeYoke offers it in seven anodized colors, which also allows for customization of the shift and matching with other components.
The installation can be easily done at home with basic tools, and the brand provides a step-by-step guide to ensure correct assembly.
Compatibility list:
- Eagle Transmission 70 / 90
- XX1, XX1 Eagle
- X01, X01 DH, X01 Eagle
- GX1, GX Eagle
- NX1, NX Eagle
- EX1, X1
The kit also includes two sets of spacers (V1 and V2) to ensure a perfect fit in all cases.
Price and availability
The BikeYoke Shifty V2 is now available on the brand's official website for €30.40, and it presents itself as one of those small improvements that, although discreet, can make a difference in the operation and maintenance of the group.
BikeYoke once again demonstrates its ability to identify the weak points of stock materials and offer simple yet effective solutions.
