A movie about Lance Armstrong is coming, and actors have already been selected
The well-known film producer Scott Stuber has been working for some time to carry out a production that brings the life of Lance Armstrong to the big screen. A project in which the former cyclist himself will be involved, and for which a cast has already begun to emerge, headed by an actor of the caliber of Austin Butler, who will take on the role of the Texan.

Hollywood will once again bring the life of Lance Armstrong to the big screen
There is no doubt that Lance Armstrong's life is completely Hollywood-esque. A childhood in a dysfunctional family, his beginnings as a triathlete and his rise in cycling, a cancer that brought him close to death and from which he returned as the best cyclist in the world, capable of winning 7 consecutive Tour de France titles, his retirement and subsequent comeback, and finally, the revelation of the systematic doping program that led to his downfall and the stripping of his victories in the French round.

A life that was already brought to the screen in 2015 with the film The Program, which passed with more sorrow than glory in theaters. Now producer Scott Stuber has acquired the rights to tell the story of Lance Armstrong and has indeed maintained intense contact with the former cyclist to ensure his involvement in the production and ultimately give it his approval.
This new film about Lance Armstrong will be directed by German director Edward Berger, known for films like Conclave and the fabulous remake of All Quiet on the Western Front. In turn, the lead role will fall to one of the most versatile actors in recent years. We are talking about Austin Butler, who already has experience in the biopic genre, as in 2022 he delivered a fabulous performance as Elvis Presley in the film that depicted the life of the king of rock, which even led him to receive an Oscar nomination for this role.

The screenwriter tasked with shaping the Texan's story is Zach Baylin, who, after the agreement signed with Lance Armstrong, has been in close contact not only with him to learn all the details of his story but also with people close to the former cyclist, without any restrictions.
