Year after year, the Absa Cape Epic consolidates its position as the most important mountain bike race by stages today. The best bikers of the moment will participate and nobody wants to miss this authentic adventerure. Its route takes cyclist from the Table Mountain National Park to the South Coast, crossing vineyards and mountains for a dreamlike landscape for any nature lover.

The route of the Absa Cape Epic 2019 has just been presented and promises to be a great show. Eight days, 624 km and 16.650 meters of climbing and real spectacle.

Stages of the Absa Cape Epic 2019

Prologue - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure and arrival at the University of Cape Town. In total 21 km with 600 climbing metres.

Stage 1 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure and arrival in Hermanus. In total 112 km with 2,700 climbing meters.

Stage 2 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure at Hermanus and arrival at Oak Valley Estate. In total 86 km with 2,250 climbing meters.

Stage 3 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure and arrival in Oak Valley Estate. In total 103 km with 2,800 climbing meters.

Stage 4 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure and arrival in Oak Valley Estate. In total 43 km with 1,000 climbing meters.

Stage 5 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure from Oak Valley Estate and arrival in Stellenbosch. In total 100 km with 2,850 climbing meters.

Stage 6 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Departure and arrival in Stellenbosch. In total 89 km with 2,650 climbing meters.

Stage 7 - Absa Cape Epic 2019

Grand finale at Val de Vie, departure from Stellenbosch. In total 70 km with 1,800 climbing metres.
