With this tiny saddle, Vingegaard won the time trial in Algarve
Yesterday we were talking about the extremely short cranks that Jonas Vingegaard had been using on his bikes in his debut in the 2025 season, which took place last week at the Volta ao Algarve. But the innovations used by the Danish cyclist do not stop there, as he surprised us all with the incorporation of a minimalist saddle on his time trial bike.
Minimalism to the limit in Jonas Vingegaard's time trial bike saddle
Last Sunday, Jonas Vingegaard opened his season's victory account by winning convincingly in the time trial that closed the Volta ao Algarve and also secured him the overall classification.

Easy ways to gain aerodynamics for free
A performance on the time trial bike that has surely been influenced by some of the changes that the Danish rider has made to his equipment, such as the reduction in the size of the cranks used, opting for extremely short ones, only 150 mm. Also reduced to the minimum expression is the saddle that equipped his time trial bike.
This saddle is made by the Italian firm Prologo, which supplies this component to Visma-Lease a Bike and can be found in their catalog under the name Predator 01TT, a saddle designed to also contribute to the aerodynamics of the bike.
The Predator 01TT has a carbon structure that extends back in a pointed shape to improve airflow guidance. Below, it has Nack rails but not in the usual rail shape but formed by a carbon structure. Above, the padding is minimal and focused especially on the point area, the main support point when riding in a time trial position. All this with a reduced weight of just 135 g.
A saddle that, although it appears on the Progolo website, is not yet available for purchase. However, the Italian brand has already set the price for it. A whopping €1,239.
