The Wilier Filante SLR arrives in an exclusive Italian finish

Wilier continues to add design options to the flagship model of its range, which will now wear the tricolore to pay homage to the new Italian cycling champion, Astana rider Simone Velasco, for whom it has prepared this very special unit that, like the other decorations that the brand has been launching, will be among the options for sale.

In recent months Wilier has been spoiling us with more and more spectacular designs of the decoration of its Filante SLR, the star bike of its catalog that combines the lightness and stiffness of a climbing bike without ignoring the necessary aerodynamic qualities that all current competition bikes must have to save watts at high speeds in races.

On its elaborate high modulus carbon monocoque, which includes liquid crystal polymer fibers to add optimal vibration filtering, Wilier has been presenting throughout this 2023 designs such as its spectacular Ramato decoration, a hallmark since the time of the brand's steel bikes. With the arrival of the Tour de France they also produced a special edition for Mark Cavendish in what was theoretically his last Tour, although now some voices point out that he could continue for one more season.

The latest addition to this collection of elaborate designs is for another Astana rider. Italian cyclist Simone Velasco, who won the Italian Road Championship on June 25.

Very clean design of this Filante SLR, on a bright white base on which the colors of the Italian flag are drawn in the front third, running diagonally from the top tube to the head tube, down tube and the top of the fork. There are a few more details with the Italian flag on the seat tube and a small label on the back of the seat tube, next to the head tube anchor, reading "Road national champion 2023".

A design nothing overloaded but very iconic and that, like the other decorations that Wilier has been launching, will be available as one more when purchasing a Filante SLR, totaling 8 color options as standard.
