The World Cup in Pal Arinsal concluded over the weekend with the Elite XCO races, which saw victories for Jenny Rissveds and Adrien Boichis. The demanding Andorran circuit, the highest in the championship, once again marked significant differences and left several relevant changes for the overall classification.

Jenny Rissveds completes a perfect weekend in Andorra

Jenny Rissveds was the standout of the women's race. After winning the Short Track on Friday, the Swede also dominated the XCO event and managed to complete the first XCC-XCO double in Pal Arinsal.

Rissveds broke away during the early laps and opened a gap that her pursuers could not close. Martina Berta finished second and Sina Frei completed the podium.

The men's race was marked by the pace set from the early laps by Adrien Boichis and Mathis Azzaro. The two Frenchmen managed to distance themselves from the rest of the favorites and maintained their particular duel until Boichis launched the decisive attack with two laps to go.

The Specialized Factory Racing rider crossed the finish line solo to secure his second XCO victory of the season, while Mathis Azzaro finished second and Luca Schwarzbauer completed the podium.

The World Cup now takes a short break to make way for the various championships that will mark the coming weeks. The National Championships, the European Championship, and subsequently, the World Championship will focus attention before the world circuit returns on August 21 in Haute-Savoie, France, to face the next event of the season.
