A video of Egan Bernal's crash has been made public
Last January 24, Colombian cyclist Egan Bernal suffered a serious accident that almost cost him his life. But after several weeks in intensive care and delicate operations, the Ineos rider is now at home recovering. Now a video, filmed from a distance, has just been made public, which makes it clear how the accident happened.
The video of the accident that nearly cost the life of Egan Bernal
As we have said, the video seems to be recorded from a distant security camera and although the quality is not good, it does show how the accident happens.
Egan Bernal was riding along the motorway perfectly coupled to his time trial bike, reportedly at around 65 km/h, when a bus stopped on the side of the road. But the action is not immediate on the part of the vehicle and the video shows that Bernal does not appear to brake at any point before the impact, on the contrary, he is seen accelerating.
