Victor Koretzky returns to a World Cup list in Andorra
Victor Koretzky could be very close to returning to competition. Neither the French cyclist nor the Specialized Factory Racing have officially announced his comeback, but his name appears for the first time this season on the entry list of a World Cup. The current world champion of Short Track is listed in the start list of Pal Arinsal (Andorra), which will take place from July 9 to 12.
Victor Koretzky aims to return to the World Cup in Andorra
Koretzky's presence on the participant list is the clearest sign so far that his return could happen this very weekend. The Frenchman has missed more than half of the World Cup season after suffering a serious injury while preparing to start the international calendar.
Koretzky experienced some of his best moments of 2025 at the World Championship held in Valais. There, he won the world title in Short Track and finished third in the XCO event. Shortly after, he won the XCC of the World Cup in Lenzerheide, although he ended the season with much more modest results in the last two events held in North America.
This year, we have only seen him compete in Banyoles. Koretzky once again triumphed in the classic Spanish event and expanded his extraordinary palmarès in a race he has dominated for the past few years.

A tough injury just before the start of the World Cup
Just a month before the start of the World Cup in South Korea, Koretzky suffered a fracture of the left humerus that required surgery and the placement of a prosthesis.
Initial forecasts indicated that he could return to competition around the Leogang event, but ultimately his recovery took longer than expected. The Frenchman was also absent from Lenzerheide and the recent debut in La Thuile.
His absence has coincided with a season in which Luca Martin and Adrien Boichis have established themselves as the main protagonists of the World Cup, while the Specialized Factory Racing has had to compete for much of the year without one of its main references.
Now, for the first time since the start of the season, the name of Victor Koretzky appears on the entry list of a World Cup.
Andorra could mark the start of the second half of his season
Pending official confirmation from the rider or Specialized Factory Racing, everything points to Pal Arinsal being the chosen venue for his return.
Koretzky has already missed more than half of the World Cup, but he still has some of the major goals of the season ahead. Among them, the World Championship in Val di Sole stands out, which will take place from August 25 to 30, where he will defend the rainbow jersey of Short Track won last year.
His possible return in Andorra would allow him to compete with enough margin to regain race rhythm before facing the most important dates on the calendar.
For now, we will have to wait for official confirmation, but the presence of Victor Koretzky in the start list of Pal Arinsal is the clearest sign so far that the world champion is ready to return to the World Cup.
