Unfortunately, Wout van Aert suffered several fractures in today's accident in Dwars Door Vlaanderen.

At the hospital, he was diagnosed with a broken collarbone and several ribs. It is not clear how long his recovery will take. He will definitely miss the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and the Amstel Gold Race.

Nowadays, we are used to seeing express recoveries from this type of injuries, but one of the main goals of the year for Van Aert and his team was the Giro d'Italia, which will start on May 4th. We will see if in just a month he will be able to be back at 100% or if they will opt for a change in his schedule.
