TrainingPeaks Virtual, this new virtual cycling platform could become the benchmark
The roller training has never been the favorite of cyclists, but since virtual cycling platforms began to emerge, things have changed. Now, a new offer comes to the market with TrainingPeaks Virtual, a new simulator that comes from Training Peaks, the most used training application by cyclists and a leader among endurance coaches and athletes.
TrainingPeaks Virtual: the new virtual cycling platform that could become the industry standard
TrainingPeaks has announced the acquisition of the indieVelo virtual cycling platform, and after making it public, it has been renamed TrainingPeaks Virtual. This new virtual cycling program complements the TrainingPeaks ecosystem and is available for free within the athlete's TrainingPeaks account, both for new users and existing ones. However, it will no longer be free in March 2025, when TrainingPeaks Virtual will be part of TrainingPeaks Premium.
This first version of TrainingPeaks Virtual features personalized development for better power accuracy, avoiding cheats, and a more realistic driving experience, including trajectories, curves, braking, and line choice. Athletes' calendars and coaches' structured workouts and training plans will be synchronized with the virtual cycling platform, and training data will be automatically uploaded to TrainingPeaks.

Until a few years ago, Zwift was the reference in terms of virtual cycling platforms, but in a short time, we have seen strong competitors emerge, such as MyWoosh, which is currently used by the UCI in the World Championship. There is no doubt that TrainingPeaks Virtual will undoubtedly be among the best virtual indoor cycling applications in a short time due to the large number of cyclists who already have an account in TrainingPeaks and the great development in metrics and training applications that the brand offers.
