SRAM renews the TrailHead application for proper adjustment and configuration of RockShox forks, shocks, and seatposts. The news includes the arrival of product videos, a wider range of features, and some changes in design. In addition, the American giant leaves the door open for future updates.

The TrailHead application is renewed: becoming an expert in suspensions is now a reality

Cycling is a dynamic sport that is constantly evolving, and the digital world seems destined to conquer the world of pedals as well. The market experiments with the latest technological innovations and engages in an endless competition to set the pace for the industry in the coming years. In recent times, some brands have even dabbled in artificial intelligence. Now, on a more down-to-earth level, SRAM launches a new version of TrailHead.

The TrailHead application is a tool designed to help and teach any enthusiast to set up their own RockShox products. The app, which has been available since 2018, introduces several new features and resources. TrailHead has information on any fork, shock, or seatpost made after 2007, although adjustment recommendations are only available for those manufactured from 2018 onwards.

TrailHead understands that the adjustment possibilities of MTB suspensions are a double-edged sword: they offer a wide range of configuration options, but it can become a headache for those who are not familiar with all the alternatives.

The design and images have undergone some modifications, and efforts have been made to improve fluidity.

One of the main novelties is the 'Support' section, which will replace the current 'Documents' section with the inclusion of product videos and associated services. Additionally, in the 'Kits' section, the functionalities to find compatible maintenance and upgrade kits are maintained, but a new button has been added that takes the user directly to search results on the Internet.

The user will now receive more precise initial configuration recommendations - with more data and more elaborate algorithms - and will be able to learn how adjustments affect pedaling. RockShox has also included SRAMid, the possibility of creating an account that will be valid for the entire SRAM ecosystem.

Other TrailHead novelties include an option to save favorite products, a Configuration Guide accompanied by data with descriptions and tracking of adjustments, PSI, and notes to optimize configuration.

Finally, SRAM leaves the door open for future updates that could allow tracking of service history, establish a connection between the TrailHead and ShockWiz applications, as well as the possibility of linking the TrailHead account with Strava or Garmin.
