Tom Pidcock confirmed for the 2022 European XCO Championships
The British team has just confirmed the most important news for the 2022 XCO European Championships, INEOS rider Tom Pidcock will be on the starting grid next August 19 in Munich. Just a few days before his big MTB goal of the year, the XCO World Championships in Les Gets, France.
Tom Pidcock wants to win the 2022 European and World MTB Championship
The British cyclist is in full transition to mountain biking after finishing a few weeks ago his first Tour de France where he won a historic stage on the Alpe d'Huez. After the Tour, his main goal is the MTB World Championship on August 24 in Les Gets, but he has just added an intermediate stop at the European Championships.
His presence in the European Championship has been confirmed by the British national team and represents a great leap in the level of the competition after the resignation of great favorites, such as the current World Champion Nino Schurter. In addition to Pidcock, the British team will be composed by the national XCO champion Cameron Orr, and the rider Isla Short.
