These types of accidents could be avoided if all drivers were attentive when getting out of the car, but it is difficult to control. That's why there is a method that, by repeating it, we can internalize so that it comes out automatically. It is a very simple gesture that can prevent hundreds of accidents.

As simple as opening the car door with the hand opposite to the side we are sitting on. That is, if we are sitting on the left, we should open the door with the right hand. This will force us to turn our body and remember to look back before fully opening the door.

If we preach this simple gesture among the occupants traveling with us and gradually it spreads among the rest of the drivers, surely unnecessary accidents can be avoided.
