This radical filtered Colnago could be Pogacar's new aero
A leaked image on the WeightWeenies forum has set off all the alarms. It is a completely radical model from Colnago and everything points to it being the new Y1RS.
Is this the new Colnago Y1RS?
In recent days, several sources of information have come together to suggest that Colnago's next aero bike will be unveiled before the end of the year and will have a design that no one would expect.
On one hand, ColnagoWorld's Instagram account has posted a series of images this week teasing that on December 9th the brand will unveil something new. As a teaser, they only show what appears to be an aero handlebar in shadow under the slogan "built to challenge the wind."

But we didn't have to imagine too much, as almost at the same time on the WeightWeenies forum, images of what will be the new Colnago Y1RS have been leaked, and several English-speaking media outlets are already publishing them with a high probability of being true.

The images are not of good quality, but they clearly show a radical silhouette with a stepped seat tube. The frame consists of a very compact rear triangle and a diamond-shaped front part. The fork and handlebar continue a set of wild shapes with oversized dimensions and radical angles.

The Enve wheels and Shimano Dura-Ace groupset match the expected setup, and the shape of the handlebar also matches the one revealed by Colnago on their social media. So we just have to wait and see if this Y1RS could be the last great bike to be unveiled in 2024.
