This futuristic handlebar has been funded on Only Fans and can now be reserved
German engineers Sabrina Fischer and Matthias Huber have taken the integration of bike components and accessories to the next level with the creation of the Flitedeck handlebar, a futuristic product that is about to see the light but whose creation has not been an easy path.
Integration to the limit in the new Flitedeck handlebar
Avoiding having to fill the handlebar with devices and accessories, that was the idea with which Sabrina Fischer and Matthias Huber designed the Flitedeck, a handlebar that integrates the cycle computer into its structure by taking advantage of the aerodynamic horizontal part.
However, as curious as the product is, the financing method found is also interesting. Apart from resorting to the usual crowdfunding in this type of revolutionary products, and seeking the project, for which they filed the patent four years ago, to have its own efficient financing, its creators chose to use the income generated by their Only Fans account. As Sabrina Fischer explains, "It was impossible to get external financing from investors. "We are both open-minded people and I have no problem showing more of myself, including spicier content."

An imaginative financing method that seems to have already yielded results, as a few days ago, they opened the reservation of the first units of the Flitedeck handlebar on the product's website, which has a price, in its most basic option, of €1,599, available in widths of 380, 400, and 420 mm and stem lengths of 80, 100, 110, and 120 mm.
The cycle computer part has a battery that provides up to 30 hours of duration and full connectivity including a GPS receiver, Bluetooth connection, ANT+ and Wi-Fi, as well as the possibility of installing a SIM card for 5G connection. Additionally, it also integrates a front light to ensure that we have everything integrated in the handlebar.
Despite all these additions, its creators declare a weight of 800 grams, which does not seem unreasonable considering everything it integrates and the generous screen that occupies its entire horizontal part, allowing us to have countless data fields.
In any case, this launch will only be carried out in a limited number of units so that the funds raised, if successful, should be used to start the true mass production of this handlebar.
