This Classified patent includes an electronic brake
The electronically actuated brake melon is something that no brand dares to open at the moment because it is a safety element that cannot fail under any circumstances. However, this does not mean that brands do not consider it, as demonstrated by the latest patent published by Classified, which collects different ideas about the generation and use of electricity in the system.

Classified proposes, among other solutions, that the battery of its hub can self-recharge
Interesting patent that Classified has published in which they propose some ideas about managing the electricity of their integrated gear system in the rear hub with two ratios in order to replace the chainring in road and gravel bikes, as well as to expand the range of developments in the case of mountain bikes.

What is the origin and history of the pink jersey of the Giro d'Italia?
An internal gear that is electronically actuated by induction, with the circuitry and the battery housed inside the thru axle. Well, with the new patent presented by Classified, the brand proposes to mount magnets on the rear brake disc and a small coil to generate electricity to recharge the hub battery and thus avoid the main drawback of electronic groups.
The Classified patent also proposes different options for recharging power through solar energy, either by placing photovoltaic cells on the shift levers or on the hub body itself.

And among the myriad of ideas collected in the patent, almost going unnoticed, a section refers to the use of an electronic brake actuator that would pick up the signal emitted when pressing a lever. However, as in the rest of this patent, only generalities are collected, no specific design, so this idea of the electronic brake can range from merely anecdotal to Classified actually working on a system of this type.
