The USA wins the Team Relay World Championship for the first time
The USA has just confirmed what it has been announcing for some seasons: it is now one of the top powers in XCO in the world. The American team won the World Team Relay in Andorra for the first time ahead of France and Italy. Spain closed the Top 10 of the competition.
USA wins the World Team Relay Championship for the first time in its history
The MTB World Championship in Andorra debuted this Wednesday with the team event and there the USA was crowned champion for the first time in history. Switzerland, the defending champion, was relegated to a 5th position after competing with a team that did not include any of its big stars.
After a very disputed race between Italy, France, and the USA, the victory was decided in the last lap when the American Christopher Blevis beat the Frenchman Mattias Azzaro by just 3 seconds.
