The unprecedented Trek Top Fuel that Evie Richards is competing with in detail
The world champion of Short Track, British Evie Richards, has been competing for weeks with what seems to be a new model of Trek Top Fuel. It is an evolution oriented towards XCO in which the rear suspension system is completely changed.

It was in Leogang when we first noticed that Richards was competing with a previously unseen Top Fuel. It is an almost identical version in terms of design to the current catalog model, but it will completely change its behavior.

The key to this new model is found in the rear triangle. It no longer incorporates the classic pivot at the junction between the chainstays and seatstays, characteristic of Trek's Active Braking Pivot (ABP) system. Now it adopts a single pivot system, where controlled carbon flex replaces the pivot point.

This substantial change should save weight, but above all offer a more rigid and responsive behavior in the Top Fuel.
The truth is that the aesthetic change is so minimal and the customization of this bike so spectacular that it is easy to overlook. The eye goes directly to more striking details, such as the custom white fork with the rainbow stripe or any of the frame designs.
We will see if this is a final version or if Trek includes even more changes for this Top Fuel model before it hits the market.
