The Team 31 of Jenny Rissveds is dissolved
The Team 31 formation, led by former Olympic champion Jenny Rissveds since its inception, has just announced that it will not continue in 2025. The team will not continue competing in the World Cup and bids farewell to its 4 cyclists Jenny Rissveds, Kelsey Urban, Zoe Cuthbert, and Elin Karlson.
Team 31 will not continue in 2025
Team 31 was born in 2019 as a personal project of the Swedish Jenny Rissveds, who wanted to return to the sport she had dominated years before and had to temporarily abandon due to a severe depression. After a few initial seasons in which Rissveds returned to be among the best XCO cyclists on the international scene, the team professionalized and since 2022 had the support of the Californian bicycle manufacturer Ibis. Together, they achieved several victories in World Cup events, National and International Championships, and countless podium finishes.

Now, it seems that driven by the new regulations of the World Cup, the team has issued a statement confirming that it will not compete in 2025, transforming into a development program for children and young people. It is worth remembering that the team's name, Team 31, comes from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which recognizes children's right to play.

While we pause our participation in the World Cup, in 2025 we will return to our roots and our heart: creating an inclusive, safe, and developmental program for children and young people. Our vision is to build the future together and aspire to return to the World Cup in 2026, stronger than ever!

With this farewell, the team has released its 4 cyclists and all the staff from the structure.
While waiting to find out which new teams will sign Kelsey Urban, Zoe Cuthbert, and Elin Karlson for 2025, rumors suggest that Jenny Rissveds could take the place that has become available in the Canyon structure for the upcoming season.
