The saddle that changed the rules is now leveling up: new S-Works Power EVO Mirror
Specialized presents a saddle with which it aims to redefine the limits of comfort, performance, and applied science with the launch of the S-Works Power EVO with Mirror technology. This is the brand's most advanced saddle to date. The brand promises that this evolution of the popular Power with Mirror offers refined ergonomics and an unprecedented level of anatomical customization.
Specialized S-Works Power EVO Mirror: maximum comfort, anatomical precision, and evolved design
In the new Specialized S-Works Power EVO Mirror, 3D printing Mirror technology reaches a new level. Made with a liquid polymer with a 40% biological base, more durable and resistant to moisture absorption, this version includes 47,000 structures and 21,000 nodes, tripling the resolution compared to the previous model (14,000/7,799). This complex three-dimensional matrix allows for millimeter-adjusted support density and relieves pressure points that conventional foams cannot address.

Thanks to this technology and a revised design, the Power EVO with Mirror offers quantified biomechanical improvements:
- 34.1% less pressure on the saddle tip
- 28.8% less pressure on the ischial bones compared to traditional foam saddles
- 18% less maximum pressure in the midline compared to the conventional Power Mirror
All of this translates into greater freedom to maintain aggressive positions without compromising comfort, especially useful in prolonged efforts such as climbs, time trials, or sprints.
Construction and design
And although it maintains the 24 cm length of the original Power, the Power EVO introduces several key changes:
- 1 cm wider nose with 19.7% more Mirror material to improve support in forward positions.
- Redesigned side wing with less flare to reduce friction with the hamstrings.
- Longer carbon rails (70 mm compared to 50 mm in the previous model) that offer more longitudinal adjustment range.
- "Invisible" central cutout, without abrupt edges, which improves comfort in the perineal area without compromising support.
It is available in four width sizes: 130, 143, 155, and 168 mm, with respective weights of 212 g, 221 g, 229 g, and 243 g.
From its construction, the S-Works Power EVO Mirror stands out for its carbon shell with controlled flexibility, oval carbon rails of 7x9 mm, and Mirror technology with 3D printed polymer.
Additionally, it is compatible with road, gravel, XC, and trail bikes. The brand does not recommend it for downhill or e-bikes due to load limitations.
Power or Power EVO?
This new saddle comes in two distinct models according to the cyclist's pedaling characteristics. For those who stay on the saddle and for those who don't stay still
S-Works Power with Mirror
- Riding style: Fixed position, feeling "anchored"
- Weight (size 143 mm): 190 g
- Rail length: 50 mm
- Shape: Compact 24 cm, with support centered at the rear Mirror technology: 14,000 struts / 7,799 nodes
- Central cutout: Visible, hammock-shaped
- Available widths: 143 mm and 155 mm
- Mirror printing: Softer and more comfortable
- Ideal for: Cyclists who do not move much on the saddle and seek stability
S-Works Power EVO with Mirror
- Riding style: Dynamic, allows front and rear movement
- Weight (size 143 mm): 221 g
- Rail length: 70 mm
- Shape: Compact 24 cm, 1 cm wider nose, redesigned wings to avoid friction
- Mirror technology: 47,000 struts / 21,000 nodes
- Central cutout: Invisible, without edges, more comfortable
- Available widths: 130 mm, 143 mm, 155 mm, and 168 mm
- Mirror printing: Firmer, designed for prolonged support at the tip
- Ideal for: Cyclists who move a lot on the saddle, especially in aggressive or advanced positions
The new S-Works Power EVO saddle with Mirror seems to be not just an update but a step forward that will improve the performance of those pushing the limits. In that sense, double Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel explained, "the Power EVO allowed me to win my first race in my return to competition, in the Brabantse Pijl, and stay at the limit longer."
Its price is in line with a high-end component like this and is now available for €449 from the Specialized website and its usual distributors.
