The Protone Icon returns with MAAP in a limited edition that focuses on design and performance
The collaboration between MAAP and KASK returns with a new reinterpretation of the Protone Icon, one of the most recognizable helmets in the peloton. This third joint release focuses on an aesthetic update without altering the technical foundation that has made this model a reference on the road.
MAAP and KASK relaunch the Protone Icon with a new limited edition focused on design and performance
This new Protone Icon maintains its identity as a high-performance helmet but introduces a bolder visual approach. MAAP has worked on patterns inspired by aerodynamics to shape two differentiated versions, featuring contrasting color details that break with the usual sobriety of the model.

The result is two finishes with their own personality that combine neutral tones with more vibrant accents, reinforcing that blend of contemporary design and functionality that characterizes the Australian brand.

On a technical level, this edition maintains the foundation of the Protone Icon but incorporates solutions already seen in recent KASK developments. The adjustment system evolves with the OCTOFIT+, which improves stability and allows for a more precise fit while riding.

The reinforced internal structure is also maintained, designed to increase safety without penalizing weight, along with a rear stabilizer that optimizes support in the cervical area and improves grip during intense efforts.
In terms of comfort, the helmet uses an interior padding with technical fabric aimed at heat evacuation, which is key in high-temperature conditions or prolonged efforts.
One of the key points of the model remains its construction, where the different parts of the shell are integrated continuously to reduce air resistance. This approach allows for a balance between ventilation and aerodynamic efficiency, one of the hallmarks of the Protone Icon.
Additionally, small functional details have been introduced that make a difference in real use, such as a larger rear dial with a non-slip finish that facilitates adjustments even while in motion.
Two limited versions and availability
This special edition is launched in two clearly differentiated color configurations, both in limited production. The helmet is already available through MAAP's official channels at a price of 355 euros in the European market.
