The new Winspace T1600 debuts with aerodynamic spoilers
Images of the latest creation from the Chinese brand Winspace are starting to circulate on the internet, specifically from the popular forum Weighweenies. The new T1600 incorporates innovative aerodynamic fins that could be a new technical solution to be imitated by other more renowned brands.
The latest aerodynamic solution comes from China
Chinese brands are no longer limited to emulating what renowned brands do, but are starting to take the step towards innovation and presenting innovative products. Such is the case of Winspace, a brand that seems to be finalizing the latest version of its aerodynamic road bike, the T1600, which has surprised material enthusiasts with the innovative design of its seat tube.
A seat tube that is divided into two small wings that arch to join back together higher up, right at the point where the seat stays start. Of course, the structure of these wings is streamlined to guide the air exactly where the engineers want it, and its goal seems to be similar to what Trek was looking for with its characteristic IsoFlow design: reducing the interaction between the airflow and the cyclist by accelerating the speed of the air in that area so that it passes more easily through that zone dominated by the turbulence generated by the legs.
