The new FOX Podium solves the main limitation of the inverted and is presented as the new reference for gravity
FOX revolutionizes the concept of monopletina suspension for gravity with the launch of the new FOX Podium, a high-performance, long-travel inverted fork that promises to offer an unparalleled advantage on technical terrain, enduro races, and eMTB. Under the slogan "Unfair Advantage," the Podium has been designed to offer a new standard in stiffness, smoothness, and dynamic response.
FOX Podium, an inverted fork ready to set the standard in gravity
The FOX Podium features an inverted design that integrates oversized 47mm upper tubes and a solid crown reinforced through generative design. This combination achieves a frontal stiffness level comparable to the FOX 40, the double-crown fork for DH, but in a monopletina format. To put it into perspective: the Podium's tubes are 9mm larger in diameter than the stanchions of the FOX 38.

The brand ensures that this inverted fork is different from all previous ones of this type, as it uses a customized steel Boost DH axle (20x110 mm), instead of the traditional 15x110 mm alloy axle. This choice further reinforces torsional stiffness, solving one of the main historical limitations of inverted forks.
The inverted chassis design has allowed for an increase in the overlap distance between bushings to 175 mm, which represents 32% more than the FOX 38 and 7% more than the FOX 40, despite the latter having more travel. This overlap not only improves frontal stiffness but also reduces friction in extreme loading situations, such as fast descents or aggressive technical sections.
At the heart of the Podium's dynamic performance is the GlideCore air shaft, developed with Nitrile Butadiene rubber. This technology allows the piston to stay aligned even under large lateral loads, minimizing friction and improving sensitivity to small impacts. The result is a fork that reacts smoothly and precisely, even in extreme situations.
The FOX Podium is equipped with the renowned GRIP X2 cartridge, customized specifically for this model. The configuration has been optimized with increased compression to balance the lower chassis friction, and softened rebound to adapt to the reduced unsprung mass.
This cartridge helps keep the front wheel higher, improving cornering traction and reducing arm and hand fatigue during longer and more demanding descents.
More details that make a difference:
- Bushings closer to the axle: in an inverted fork like the Podium, the distance between the axle and the lower bushing is reduced when compressed, decreasing flex leverage and increasing smoothness.
- Total oil immersion lubrication: thanks to the inverted design, oil is gravity-fed to the seal area, reducing friction and the risk of contamination from debris.
- Reduction of unsprung mass: by placing the stanchions at the top, the lower movable mass is reduced, improving suspension reactivity. Carbon fiber protections reinforce this advantage, in addition to protecting the Kashima-coated stanchions.
The new FOX Podium is expected to be available immediately through the brand's usual channels. For more technical information, available configurations, and compatibilities, it is possible to consult directly the official FOX website.
