The decision to leave the XCO World Cup marked the end of a very demanding stage, but also the opening of a new sporting horizon, more aligned with his current motivations and a type of competition in which he has already proven to perform at the highest level.

Valero's arrival at Klimatiza Orbea does not seem coincidental. The Spanish team has a proven tradition in long-distance mountain biking and gravel, and since 2024, it also has the direct support of Orbea, a key backing to compete at the highest international level.
Present at the most important events on the calendar, Klimatiza Orbea has found in Valero the ideal rider to make a qualitative leap and strengthen its sporting ambition. For the Granadino, the project represents the perfect environment to leverage his experience, consistency, and ability in long and stage races.
As Valero himself already hinted in an exclusive interview, his upcoming goals include events like the Cape Epic, a race in which he has already shown he can compete for the podium, or competing in the revamped XCM World Cup, a format that fits particularly well with his characteristics and where it would not be surprising to see him excel from the start.
While the definitive roadmap for 2026 is yet to be known, David Valero's signing with Klimatiza Orbea is shaping up to be one of the major news stories in Spanish mountain biking.
