The legendary Cinelli Supercorsa returns to sale more than 70 years later

Cinelli has announced the return of one of the most iconic frames in cycling history: the Supercorsa, reinterpreted for 2026 while keeping intact the DNA that made it a legend since its original launch in 1951. More than 70 years later, the Milanese manufacturer is bringing back this classic frame with regular production and an updated aesthetic, without giving up its artisanal philosophy.

The Supercorsa was conceived by Cino Cinelli along with master builder Luigi Valsassina for an exceptional recipient like Fausto Coppi. Since then, the goal has been to create the “perfect functional harmony” between the fork, main triangle, and rear stays, combining stiffness, elasticity, aerodynamics, and aesthetics into a balanced and instantly recognizable whole.

The new Cinelli Supercorsa 2026 is still 100% Made in Italy and is handcrafted in Milan by the brand's artisans, using Columbus Spirit and Columbus SL double-butted tubes, with classic lugs and the characteristic 1” threaded Columbus SL fork with a sloping design. The elegant geometry and the feel of steel continue to be its hallmarks.

Despite its clearly retro approach, the frame incorporates some functional nods, such as internal routing for the rear brake, mounts for shift levers on the down tube, and compatibility with traditional components like rim brakes and a 70 mm Italian ITA bottom bracket.

From limited edition to regular production

At the end of 2025, Cinelli had already reintroduced the Supercorsa in a limited edition in pink, with only 12 units produced as a tribute to Cino Cinelli's 12 most legendary victories. Now, the model returns steadily to the catalog, ensuring the continuity of a frame that is part of the living history of road cycling.
