The bike and Robin Gemperle's preparation to win Transcontinental 2024: 4,000 km in less than 9 days
The now ultracyclist Robin Gemperle achieved victory in the Transcontinental 2024. A wild race across Europe in which he pedaled for 8 days, 23 hours, and 59 minutes to be the first to reach the finish line in Istanbul. But, how does one prepare for such a race?
This is how Robin Gemperle prepared to win the Transcontinental 2024
The Swiss Robin Gemperle is no stranger to this type of challenge, and although he already won the Atlas Mountain Race in Morocco in 2023, what is not so well known is that Gemperle was competing in the XCO World Cup at the beginning of the 2010s with SCOTT SRAM (SCOTT Odlo back then).
Surely the demanding training that XCO specialists undergo has also served him well for the new challenges he faces now, but the truth is that preparing for a race like the Transcontinental 2024 is not easy. He explains it himself in this video.
