It might look like a concept bike presented at any bike show, but no, the Baldiso One bets on a futuristic design for a bike that combines lightness and extraordinary aerodynamics as well as a unique look.

Lightness, stiffness, and aerodynamics come together in the spectacular Baldiso One

The collaboration between the German brand Baldiso and the elite component brand CarbonWorks could not have been more fruitful. Through a 3D printing process, they have managed to create a spectacular bicycle in which, obviously, the first thing that catches the eye is the absence of a seat tube, only a mini tube at the top to accommodate a small seatpost.

Eliminating the seat tube has not been a problem for Baldiso, which has compensated for the loss of this element in terms of structural strength by thickening the rest of the tubes, which acquire tremendously generous dimensions, resulting in a first-class stiffness.

However, the absence of a seat tube on this Baldiso One means enjoying greater vertical absorption capacity since the entire frame, from the head tube to the rear dropouts, is involved in filtering impacts.

The dropouts, following the trend, are of the UDH type, so the option of the SRAM Red AXS XPLR with its 13 gears is a very tempting choice. In any case, the brand offers among its assembly alternatives the possibility of mounting a Classified hub and, if we want a more traditional option, on the bottom bracket the frame extends its structure enough to install a derailleur and opt for a double chainring.

Despite the reinforcement of the rest of the tubes and their generous sections, the savings resulting from eliminating the seat tube are noticeable, which, together with the elite assemblies proposed by Baldiso, allows the complete bike weight to be reduced to 6.4 kg.

Obviously, we will never see a Baldiso in competition since UCI regulations require that all bikes be approved for this use and for this it is mandatory that they have a traditional double triangle structure.

In any case, Sebastian Baldauf, founder of Baldiso and former professional cyclist, is clear about who will be the recipient of one of the 1,500 Baldiso One bikes that will be manufactured "Our potential customers do not participate in UCI races... our target audience for this bike are cyclists who want a special and unique road bike frame, a bike that stands out from the crowd. Similar to why people buy a car like a Lamborghini or a Bentley".

With this approach, the prices of the Baldiso One are in line with this level of exclusivity, reaching €20,000 for the version equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace, Darimo handlebar, CarbonWorks seatpost and saddle, and Lightweight Obermayer wheels. On the other hand, we can also choose to purchase the frame kit which remains at
