Switzerland presents its powerful MTB selection for the Paris Olympics
It is considered, along with France, as the most powerful XCO team in the world and has been the first to announce who will be its members for the Paris Olympics. Nino Shurter, Jolanda Neff, Mathias Fluckiger, and Alessandra Keller will represent Switzerland in the XCO event next July.
Swiss team presented for the Paris 2024 Olympics
The Nove Mesto World Cup closed yesterday the Olympic qualification cycle and hours after it ended, Switzerland announced its representatives for Paris.
Finally, in the Olympic ranking, Switzerland has finished in first place in women and second place in men, just behind France, so they are entitled to two spots in each category. The cyclists chosen by the federation are Nino Schurter, Mathias Fluckiger, Alessandra Keller, and Jolanda Neff.

Aside from the specific selection criteria, these are the cyclists who have earned the most points for their country during the Olympic cycle and the best currently positioned in the individual UCI ranking. In addition, all except Keller already know what it is like to win an Olympic medal, and in the case of Schurter and Neff, even win an Olympic Games.
Without knowing the rest of the selections, there is no doubt that Switzerland will be one of the favorites for the medals, and it would be rare if they were not on the Olympic podium in Paris.
