Specialized launches the Recon shoe range and the Search helmet for gravel

Specialized launches spring 2024 with the presentation of its new Search helmet and a new range of Recon shoes. This equipment is focused on gravel and off-road adventures, but does not leave behind performance incorporating designs and solutions from its S-Works range.

New Search helmet for gravel and off-road

The new Specialized Search helmet offers an attractive design in which everything has a function. Its larger openings offer optimal ventilation whether you are going to do a long gravel route or if the goal is a simple city commute.

The FS3 adjustment system and the occipital base adjustment come directly from the S-Works Evade 3 and S-Works Prevail 3 models which, combined with the solution to keep the glasses on the helmet, allow adjusting the angle of the helmet without affecting the position of the glasses.

In terms of safety, the Specialized Search has obtained 5 stars in the Virginia Tech® Helmet Rating. This is the highest safety rating and makes it a model as comfortable and elegant as it is versatile.

The new Specialized Search is available in 5 colors and its price is 150€.

New Specialized Recon 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 Shoes

The Specialized Recon model is a favorite among those who practice MTB or Gravel. And now the range is updated with three new models. They also introduce the new Stride technology and combine balanced stiffness for efficient power transfer and the necessary exterior flexibility to walk confidently in case you have to put your foot down for a few kilometers.

The Specialized Recon 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 include the Body Geometry system that solves alignment problems and other discomforts related to pedaling with three patented technologies: varus wedge, longitudinal arch, and metatarsal button. The brand ensures that this offers a 7-watt power increase without pain, validated by scientific tests.

The three models differ in their upper and closure system. The Recon 3.0 stand out for their double BOA dial and an upper with fewer seams, the 2.0 combine their microperforated synthetic leather upper with a BOA dial and a lower velcro, and the 1.0 choose a simpler design with a single BOA closure. All 3 models are available in two color options.
