SCOTT considers the crisis in the sector to be overcome and opens a new stage with its change of leadership
SCOTT begins a new phase in its leadership structure with the arrival of Hsuan Boon Tan as co-CEO, in a move that aims to consolidate the brand's growth after several years of instability in the cycling industry. The executive will share leadership with Pascal Ducrot, one of the historical figures within the company.
SCOTT restructures its management and appoints Hsuan Boon Tan as new co-CEO
The transition comes after the departure of Juwon Kim, who returns to South Korea to focus on the strategy and investment area of the Youngone group, the owner of SCOTT. The transition is seen as a natural step within a process that the company considers already overcome after the effects that shook the sector during and after the pandemic.
From the company itself, this change is interpreted as a sign of continuity, but also as a boost to strengthen its global position. Tan's closeness to Youngone and his experience in key areas such as textiles, footwear, and the outdoor sector align with the intention to further integrate SCOTT within the international structure of the group.
Pascal Ducrot, who will continue to lead as co-director, highlighted the role played by his predecessor during this recent phase and positively valued the arrival of the new executive. “It has been a pleasure to work with Juwon Kim during a transformative period for SCOTT over the last two years. Now I look forward to collaborating with Hsuan Boon Tan, whose deep knowledge of the organization will help us continue to grow and get even closer to our parent company, Youngone.”

Juwon Kim himself bid farewell by valuing the work done during his tenure and the moment he leaves the company. “It has been very rewarding to help prepare SCOTT for its next phase of growth. I am proud to have witnessed firsthand the commitment and energy of the teams around the world.”
For his part, Hsuan Boon Tan takes on the role with prior knowledge of the company, having been part of the board for the last few years and having participated in stabilizing the business. “After more than two years on the SCOTT board, I have always been impressed by the passion of the team. Now, from the headquarters in Switzerland, I experience it every day. I look forward to working with Youngone and the entire organization to shape the future of the company and honor its legacy.”
His profile combines experience in corporate governance and legal matters with direct knowledge of both SCOTT and Youngone, where he held the position of head of legal and compliance. A background that the company considers key to facing this new phase, marked by market recovery and the ambition for global growth.
