Robin Goomes is the first female winner in the history of the Red Bull Rampage

The New Zealander Robin Goomes has just been crowned winner of the Red Bull Rampage 2024. It was the first edition in which the most important freeride competition in the world had a women's event, and the event has been as spectacular and terrifying as usual.

Two backflips earned the kiwi Robin Goomes the highest score of the day, 85 points, as well as the prize for the best trick of the edition. Her descent line had everything necessary to be framed within the original style of the Rampage, including a drop of over 12 meters that Goomes landed perfectly.

The surprise of the day was given by the Canadian Georgia Astle, who took second place, very close to Goomes with 79 points, after entering the competition from the waiting list and being called at the last minute in September. Her line was very fluid, without stops, and facing the most technical sections with speed, she also brilliantly landed her jump in the drop of over 12 meters.

The podium was closed by Casey Brown with 77.33 points, thanks among other tricks to an epic "Laundry Chute" (a practically vertical descent). She also won the McGazza Spirit award for her contribution to women's freeride.
