The Road World Championship has come to a complete halt some 76 km from the start due to protests by activists who have stuck to the road. The race has been stopped for more than 30 minutes and it is not yet known what measures will be taken by the organization.

The dry stop occurred with 194 km to go to the finish line in Glasgow. Protesters have stuck their hands to the road with what looks like chemical construction glue.
