Rissveds dominates from start to finish in Lenzerheide; Blöchlinger and Blunk complete the podium
Jenny Rissveds (Canyon XC Racing) confirmed in Lenzerheide that she is going through one of the best moments of her sports career. The Swede dominated the XCO event of the World Cup with authority and achieved her second consecutive victory after the one she secured just a week ago in Leogang. Ronja Blöchlinger (Liv Factory Racing) signed an excellent second position in front of her home crowd, and Savilia Blunk (Decathlon Ford Racing Team) completed the podium after a spectacular comeback on the last lap.

Jenny Rissveds wins again and confirms her dominance in the MTB World Cup
The race started under radically different conditions than those in Leogang. Mud and rain gave way to a completely dry circuit, with a lot of dust, high temperatures, and extremely fast terrain.
From the start, Puck Pieterse took the initiative at the front of the group, while all the top favorites managed to stay well positioned despite the usual tension of the Start Loop.

The first major incident came very early. Alessandra Keller, who was defending the victory achieved on this same circuit last season and was competing again with her innovative 32-inch Thömus, suffered a hard fall on the first technical descent of the course. The Swiss rider was able to continue but was relegated beyond position 50 and lost any chance of fighting for the podium.
Up front, Ronja Blöchlinger had an explosive start. The Liv Factory Racing rider opened a gap from the first lap and crossed the first pass by the finish line with a 16-second lead over a chasing group formed by Sina Frei, Jenny Rissveds, Savilia Blunk, and Laura Stigger.
Rissveds responds with a devastating attack
Blöchlinger's lead lasted only a few kilometers. In the second lap, Jenny Rissveds launched one of those attacks that have made her one of the most dominant riders of the moment. The Swede broke away from the chasing group, caught up with the leader, and left her behind practically without looking back.
In just a few minutes, she went from being a chaser to the clear leader of the race. By the end of the second lap, she already had a ten-second lead over Blöchlinger and thirteen over Savilia Blunk. Behind, Sina Frei, Laura Stigger, Nicole Koller, and Martina Berta were trying to stay in the fight for the podium.
The world champion continued to gradually increase her lead during the following laps. By the halfway point of the race, she was nearing a minute of advantage, and the feeling was that no one had the capacity to respond to her pace.
Savilia Blunk overcomes a flat tire and finishes on the podium
While Rissveds consolidated her display, the battle for the honor positions offered enormous excitement.
Savilia Blunk was riding as one of the fastest riders in the race when she suffered a flat tire that forced her to stop in the technical zone. The incident seemed to end her podium chances, but the American once again demonstrated the excellent form she had already shown in Friday's Short Track.
Little by little, she regained positions until she returned to the group fighting for third place alongside Sina Frei and Laura Stigger.
Meanwhile, Alessandra Keller was making the comeback of the day. After falling to position 52 in the first lap, the Swiss rider passed other competitors throughout the race and managed to get close to the top 10 in the final stages.
Second consecutive victory for Rissveds
The last lap served to confirm the absolute dominance of the World Cup leader. Rissveds perfectly managed a lead of over a minute and headed towards a new victory without any surprises, further reinforcing her lead in the overall standings.

Behind, Ronja Blöchlinger maintained second position despite the pressure from her pursuers, while Savilia Blunk launched a final attack in the last lap to drop Sina Frei and Laura Stigger and secure the third step of the podium.
With this victory, Jenny Rissveds adds her second consecutive win in the XCO World Cup and confirms that she arrives at summer as the great reference of the international circuit.
